Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up living in "a the white bubble." The actress also discusses the impact that this realization has had on the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to a reporter that it did not matter what color her skin was to her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in how people took care of her. When I asked Meg how she was treated when in public, regardless of whether we were with our parents, the treatment was very completely different. Meg responded "Oh, yes, every time!" Heigl told her parents this made her realize how naive she had been. She confessed that she was frustrated however she was also aware of that she had to channel this anger to assist her children. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., 4, have been together for thirteen years. The couple adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black, in 2009.
